Dividing Fractions

 

   All fraction have at least two numbers. One over the other.    9   (numerator)
 64  (denominator)  or  9/64
 
   Dividing one fraction by another fraction.  You will need to invert the second fraction and multiply the two fractions.


Change the ÷ sign to a x sign and invert the fraction on the right of the x sign.

3 x 6 = 18  (numerator)
4 x 5 = 20  (denominator)

Multiply the numerators
3 x 6 = 18 than multiply the denominators 4 x 5 = 20 Reduce to lowest denominator.
